So, what is in store for BND?

Buy Nothing Day is as much an idea as anything, so raising awarness that there is such a day is an important activity in itself. To this ends, we will over the next few weeks be contacting sympathetic media outlets (community radio stations etc.), getting fliers and posters out there, and basically spreading the message.

So, if you know someone or some organisation who might be able to help, let us know.

On the day itself, we will be holding a Credit Card Cutting event, probably in the Bourke Street Mall, approaching random people and offering to permenantly relieve them of some of their plastic. We're chatting to the Melbourne City Council about a permit even as we speak.
